The 2012 edition of the WordCamp Romania conference will take place on the 2nd of June, in Bucharest. WordCamp Romania is the only locally organized event focused on the exchange of knowledge and experience between WordPress developers and users. With two renowned speakers and a great conference agenda, we think this is a must attend event for WordPress lovers.

This year’s edition has two special guests: Joost de Valk and Frederick Townes. In the present, Joost is an independent consultant on SEO, web development and online marketing strategy. Apart from his activity as a consultant and developer, Joost has built many plugins for WordPress (with over 3.5 millions of downloads) and Firefox. He is currently hosting weekly podcasts on WordPress and maintains a personal blog on WordPress and SEO.

Frederick Townes is the founding CTO of Mashable.com – one of the first 3 blogs in the world (on topics of technology, IT and social media). He is a designer, search/social media marketer and WordPress consultant. One of his biggest contributions to the WordPress users community is the W3 Total Cache plugin.

The conference schedule also features presentations by Andrei Diaconu (BEC Media), Cristi Burca (scribu.net – Core Contributor WordPress.com), Valentin Enache (Technical Product Manager PayU Romania), Tudor Sandu (2Parale) and Ciprian Turcu (WpTutsPlus). Check out the whole conference shedule.
